BRAZIL

Brazil has undergone a significant expansion of higher education. This is due to several factors, including the increased demand for qualified professionals and the appreciation of higher education diplomas in the job market. But despite the increase in enrollment, we still have several challenges ahead. It is necessary to invest in improving the quality of teaching and in the inclusion of students from all social classes.

ARGENTINA

Argentine higher education is one of the least restrictive in the world in terms of access requirements, which allows for a relative heterogeneity of student profiles in comparative terms. Together with the non-university subsystem and strictly scientific organizations, it constitutes an institutional amalgam that makes it an interesting case study.

CHILE

The higher education system is understood as tertiary education, being structured by four types of institutions: Universities, Professional Institutes, Technical Training Centers and Higher Education Establishments of the Armed Forces.

URUGUAY

A symptom of the uniqueness of the Uruguayan system is, in addition to the relative weight that Udelar represents in terms of total enrollment in higher education in Uruguay, but the particular conditions of accessibility and permanence in the public sector.

PERU

Growth of higher education in Peru occurred without an institutional framework that would guarantee the academic quality of these institutions.
